Monday - Heart Rate and Jump Rope Challenge
Our body works hard to maintain homeostasis (constant bodily levels of everything from blood oxygen levels to temperature), when we exercise our heart beat changes in response to the changing conditions in our body brought on by physical activity.
Over time our body adapts to the demands of exercise and becomes more efficient in it's response - as a result we have less dramatic of a heart rate change in response to the same level of activity.
We will perform an experiment over the next month to evaluate how much we can adapt to the demands of 1 minutes of jumping rope each day.
Here is the worksheet we will use.
We will chart our progress along the way.

By the end of our experiment some of us may get to be this good.
