Friday - Active Choice

After our running the mile for our first fitness assessment a few students suggested we run the mile every week, I knew that this idea would not be received favorably be everyone in our group but I still felt it was important to encourage the excitement that some had around running.

So, in the spirit of helping every student find where they fit into the world of health and fitness we designed a regular "Active Choice" time.

  • students were surveyed to elicit how they would like to be active during this time

  • our first session was a success and we had students participating in a wide variety of activities, such as:

  • supension training

  • medicine ball strength training

  • jump rope

  • dodge ball

  • basketball

  • slacklining
