Monday

I was participating in a marathon on Sunday evening so I wasn't able to make it back on Monday.

Tuesday

Tracing in Illustrator

With one more more computer lab session, students prepared their first digital (vector graphic) draft of our inspiration journal cover for critique.

Students who finish early are welcome to explore other programs with their extra time.

Wednesday

Teambuilding

1. Keeper of the Castle: Students were put in to teams with the goal of "retrieving their towns treasure from the castle. What makes this task more difficult is that the castle is surrounded by guards"

2. Treasure Hunter: In this cooperative games students work together to "sneak treasure from others teams' bases.

Thursday

Critique Session and Time for Revision

Students worked in small groups to get feedback on their designs. After hearing the opinions of their peers, they made any necessary changes to their design.

Friday

Complete Illustrator Work and Submit for Print

Students made sure to color code their design in Illustrator to designate which part of their graphics would be cut, and which part would be etched.

Once students finalized their designed the tuned in a copy to Google Classroom so they could be laser cut.

Students who finished early were allowed to work on a personal project.
