Monday
That Sugar Film Part 1

We began with a history of sugar and moved on to discussing the different types of sugar.


Tuesday

Training for Fitness Test
Our training today allowed us to move through three different stations, focused on 1) chest, 2) triceps and 3) legs. We also began our workout with a tabata set focused on our core.
Wednesday

Teambuilding
Our team building activities today were modeled after challenges found on the TV show Survivor.
Thursday
That Sugar Film Day 2
We began my making predictions of how many teaspoons of sugar have been added to some common breakfast, lunch and snack foods.

The main focus for this section of the movie was around the role that sugar plays in regulating our metabolism. We completed the notes below to better appreciate the concepts being presented.

Goat Day
We defined animal behavior as essentially anything that animals do in response to their environment.
Animals engage in behaviors for four basic purposes:
to find their basic needs
to avoid predation
to reproduce and interact socially
to maintain health and resist diseases.
We started with observations of the goats in order to answer the following questions:
Who is related to whom?
Who is male/female among the herd?
How do does (female goats) treat babies that are not their own?
List all of the behaviors goats exhibit?
We watched a fun video explaining the science behind goat vision, balance and more.
